Taste of Tuesday: "All Spiced Up" Shrimp & Grits

Hey Lovies! As promised, this week's Taste of Tuesday features shrimp & grits from "All Spiced Up"; my newest blog collaboration. This Thursday Joe and I will be attending our first cooking class there, so be sure to check back next Tuesday for pictures, details, and (of course) recipes from our night.

2 C water
1 1/2 C seafood stock
1/2 C Half & Half
2 T butter
1 t Hawaiian Red sea salt*
black pepper to taste
1 C quick grits (not instant)
3 oz Camembert Cheese
1 lb. large shrimp, peeled & deveined
1/2 lemon
extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp smoked sweet paprika*
1 T ALL SPICED UP Angler's Reel Blend*

* A lot of the ingredients can be found at "All Spiced Up" or any other specialty food store, however the only ones that can be purchased online are the Red sea salt and Angler's Reel Blend.  

In a large pot, bring water, stock and Half & Half to a boil.  Add butter, salt, and pepper.  Reduce heat to medium high, and add grits slowly; stirring constantly so they don't stick to the bottom of the pan.  Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 10 minutes, stirring often.  Add Camembert and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the grits thicken.

In a medium bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, paprika and Angler's Reel blend. Pour into a hot skillet and cook for about 5 minutes over medium - high heat.

Finish grits with shrimp, a drizzle of fresh lemon juice, chopped scallions and your favorite hot sauce from "All Spiced Up."
