Taste of Tuesday: Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels

~ Hola Lovies ~

So I know what you're thinking..."aren't you supposed to be Paleo for Lent?"  Why yes I am! However, my husband and I may or may not cheat a little on the weekends.  Sorry JC! With that being said, we did some amazing grilling out this weekend (the weather was too amazing to pass up being outside), and what BBQ is complete without dessert!?  I considered buying skinny cows but opted to make these amazing Cinammon Sugar Pretzels that I found on Life's Too Short to Skip Dessert. And boy, am I glad I did!!! Not only was this incredibly easy to make, it cost me $1.99! Can we say savvy shopper!!!???  The only ingredients needed are pretzels, vegetable oil, sugar & cinnamon. AND, come to find out, these are actually a great treat for the little ones.  Some times for dessert Wake asks for a cookie, but I gave him one of these pretzels and not only did he LOVE it, but he worked on it for so long that by the time he finished he was completely satisfied.  Eat your heart out below...

Ingredients:
1 (16 oz) bag pretzel twists
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.  In a medium sized bowl mix together vegetable oil, cinnamon, and sugar.

Pour mixture into pretzel bag (this eliminates a lot of mess & clean-up) and shake bag to coat. Pour pretzels into a roasting pan, place in oven, and bake for 30 minutes; removing twice to stir. UGH...doesn't your house smell amazing now!? Voila!

And if the recipe and above pics weren't enough...here is a pic of what the container looked like ONLY 48 hours after these babies were created...

~ Enjoy...I know it won't be hard! ~
