Five on Friday; Things to come!

This Friday I'm most excited for things to come; our new link-up, wearing new shoes, anxiously awaiting a delivery from Amazon, and a fun road trip...

Wednesday Wishlist Link-up!!! Words can't express my excitement for this, hence it being #1! My friend Annie (from Home of Malones) and I have decided to start our very first link-up together; "Wednesday Wishlist!" This will be a place for all bloggers to link up with things they are wishing for that day/week!  It could be one item or a list of things; whatever you are wishing you could buy, wear, say, do, travel to, look like, be like, not look or be like, etc...  The possibilities are endless!!!  I hope you will all link-up with us on Wednesday and share your wishes.  After all...

Das Boot! No, I'm not talking about a large glass boot filled with beer! Although that is very impressive (and weird)...these boots are better! These are my newest fall purchase/love! I found them on Sole Society.  I've never been on that site or purchased from them before.  I always assumed it was like Shoe Dazzle where you have to decline shipment every month or have some weird account with them.  Well that is NOT the case. This is like any other site you would shop for shoes on. Yes, I had to create an account to buy them, but there is no requirement for "membership."  So, by the looks of them I am really pleased with my purchase, especially since they were somewhat affordable considering the other booties I was vacillating between. I plan on wearing them this weekend and I'll keep you posted on the "comfort" level.

Nerd alert!!! I'm so excited about the release of Allegiant...I feel like a kid on Christmas morning.  Allegiant is the third and final installment in Veronica Roth's Divergent Trilogy. Set in Dystopian Chicago, society is now divided into "five factions, each one meant to uphold a particular virtue of humanity: Abnegation (the selfless), Amity (the peaceful), Candor (the honest), Dauntless (the brave) and Erudite (the intelligent). On a given day each year, all sixteen-year-olds take an aptitude test that will tell them which faction they are best suited for, after which they must decide whether to remain with their family or transfer to a new faction."  Thus begins the story of Beatrice Prior, our heroine.

I saw Veronica Roth interviewed on The Today Show the other morning and got goosebumps because 1) I am a certified geek and 2) I haven't loved a storyline or character this much since Katniss of The Hunger Games.  If you haven't read Divergent start it TODAY. I promise you'll finish the first two books in less than a week (I did) and be on to this new one ASAP.

You can buy the first two books and Allegiant now on Amazon!! Mine should arrive next week ;-)

A week or so ago my friend Annie (same Annie from above ;-) listed the Chobani Flips as one of her faves, so I decided to give them a try; and she was right, they were delish!!  So the other day when I was walking through the dairy aisle to grab another round of "Flips" I stumbled upon Chobani Bite. These Lilliputian cups are 3.5 oz and only 100 calories, yippee!!  But what really caught my eye was the flavor...coffee with dark chocolate chips.  SAY WHAT!?

I couldn't wait to get home and try them, and to my serious delight...they were soooooo good.  I could still taste the Greek quality of the yogurt with a hint of coffee and true dark chocolate (I'm kind of a dark chocolate snob).  I swear these are my new go-to breakfast; so easy to grab while walking out the door or chasing after my little beetle bug! This is good news for me since my breakfasts recently have consisted of cheerios...without milk...shared with Wake from off his highchair.  Gosh that's embarrassing to admit.  So thank you Chobani for bringing me up a level from the dog.  Check out all the yummy flavors below!

Saving the best for last! I get to see Cam (aka Jazzy C, Auntie Cam, my LTP, MOH) this weekend! The whistles go WOO WOO! Wake and I are taking our first road trip without Dad to the ATL for a much needed girls weekend. Laughing, smiling and cheek-to-cheek posing is pretty standard.  I can't wait! Check back on Monday for details from my weekend!
