It's Monday...again! But school is basically out which means it's "summer", and with summer comes jam-packed schedules. This weekend some friends of ours had their son baptized, which was wonderful to be apart of; gotta love when another little nugget joins "the team." Events like this also get the out-of-towners to come hang with us, so we had a full house of favorites; including some of our best friends and their 4 month old baby who I adore. You know, we were talking this weekend how amazing life is and how much things change over time, especially when you have kids. Not too long ago we would spend the weekend beach cruising, at Crawfish boils, or tailgating for Gator games. We'd sleep until we woke up naturally (usually a little hung over) and then go grub on some amazing grease. This weekend...both W and the baby were up around 6:30am hungrier than woodpeckers with a headache, and us parents were like the walking dead. You would have thought it was Christmas with the way Wake was squealing at the baby (at 6:30am); he was just so excited to have friends in the house. The coffee couldn't come quick enough; I swear my machine was sucking coffee out of the carafe back into the filter. It was going that slow..in my brain. But...watching friends care for their beautiful children is such a fascinating and beautiful thing that I wouldn't change the wake up calls for all the tea in China!
Anyway, the rain came and went this weekend; welcome to summer & Hurricane season! I was able to grab a few photos of my Baptism outfit between the storms though.
