Mid Week Muse: Michigan Awesome

~ Happy Wednesday ~
Today I am particularly excited to share my "muse" with you because it's all about a company from my home state of Michigan! Michigan Awesome "is a celebration of state pride and hometown love. Based in Holland, Michigan, (not far from where I grew up) [they] are proud to offer high quality products to Michiganders in our home state, across the country, and around the world." I love where I'm from. Like any other state we have our issues (political leaders, the winter, etc..), but we are a very proud people AND we have an overwhelming amount of beauty in our state. My heart longs for the breeze, sunshine, and glassy lakes in the summer & the smell of wood fires, fresh apples & Indian Corn in the fall. I get very homesick during certain seasons. So anytime I can support a local company and stay connected to my state I am ALL ABOUT IT! And anytime a company can create a shirt that encompasses not only the pride I have for my state, but also the sassiness that lives within me...I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside. So yes, you can now refer to me as a "Michigangster."

When is this shirt not appropriate??? I think I could style it for any event at any point in time; it's that bad ass! I've styled it casually with my white chinos because this is practical and how I've actually been wearing it, BUT I was real close to throwing on a black hi-waisted midi & leopard wedges just for the photo shoot. Oh, and of course I had to throw on my Jacks...I love how they always add a fun pop of pink!

Next...I'd like to give a big shout out to Lindsay from Lovely Life Styling AND Niki from Glossy Blonde! Annie and I have selected both of them as our"Favorite Muses" from last week's link-up.
Both of these ladies are pregnant and GLOWING. What's even more impressive is that they are super stylish while doing it. We love that both of them gravitated towards the graphic t-shirt and maxi skirt combo, and their cute "bump dates" are just an added bonus. Congrats, Lindsay and Niki!
