~ Happy Fright-Filled Friday ~
And really...Happy Halloween! "Halloween was influenced by the ancient Roman festival, Pomona, which celebrated the harvest goddess of the same name. Many Halloween customs and games that feature apples (such as bobbing for apples) and nuts date from this time. In fact, in the past, Halloween has been called San - Apple Night and Nutcrack Night. It's also short for "Hallows Eve" or "Hallows Evening" which was the evening before All Hallows' Day or Hallowmas on Novemeber 1. In an effort to convert pagans, the Christian church decided that Hallowmas or All Saints' Day (Nov. 1) and All Souls' Day (Nov. 2) should assimilate sacred pagan holidays that fell on or around October. 31st." Interesting right!? And apparently the idea for trick-or-treating evolved from an ancient Celtic tradition, but that's a whole other story that we'll save for next year.
Anyways, as you've learned by now I love Halloween and I love it even more, especially living in Jacksonville, because it always falls on FLA/GA weekend. So today's Five on Friday is dedicated to all my favorites from this week, including but not limited to Halloween/the Florida-Georgia Game!
For the Holiday season, Kate Spade, Jack Spade & Gap Kids have teamed up to bring us some of the cutest, chicest & sassiest kids clothing we've ever seen. The collection just launched today but I bet everything will be sold out quickly. So...do yourself a favor and shop online or in your local store NOW! Below you can see some of my toddler faves...

Halloween Costume
Last year we dressed up Wake as "Albert the Alligator" so it only seemed appropriate to continue the Gator tradition (even though this season stinks) and dress him up as Mr. 2-Bits! I will post pics of him in his outfit on Moda Monday, but here's the style board I created when trying to find all the pieces. I will say...the only thing we didn't couldn't get was the powder blue pants. Not only are they not in season, but they are near impossible to find in toddler size even when it's considered "in season." Oh well...I think the rest of it is pretty spot on!!

Halloween Favorites
There have been a lot of "loop around" giveaways & questions posted on my social media/posts asking about my Halloween favorites, soooo I thought this would make it real easy. Here are my all time favorite "every things" for Halloween.
Favorite Halloween Song: Thriller...DUH!

Mother Approved Halloween Attire
Now I don't plan on getting dressed up for Halloween, however I did find the cutest top that is festive & appropriate to wear while out running errands with the little one tomorrow.
Is this not the cutest and comfiest looking shirt you've ever seen!?!? Wear it with black leggings, jorts, and some orange accessories!! The options are endless!!

FLA/GA Gear
Even though Friday night is Halloween, it is also FLA/GA Eve here in Jacksonville, which means there are a plethora of parties & events. We are going to a particularly large FLA/GA party that has been in existence for over 24 years! Both the Florida & Georgia cheer leading squads come to perform as well as each school's respective mascot. It's a great party for fans on both sides of the field. The event is always outside, so attire can be difficult, but I'm thinking of wearing something like this...
Earrings // Boots // Dress // Necklace // Clutch
I almost wore this same dress to last year's game but it ended up being too cold and I opted for jeans. However I think it's perfect for tonight's event; the long sleeves on the dress will keep me warm and the cowboy boots make it more appropriate for an outdoor party. More detailed pics will be up on Moda Monday.
Okay Lovies now go gorge yourself on some awesome candy, pumpkin beer, and Halloween traditions! Have a great weekend, be safe & Happy Halloween!!
