~ Hello Lovies ~
I realize that most of my posts are either food or fashion driven; I find solace in burying my head in the fridge or closet (mmm cheese & leather...I think that should be my new blog name!). So, I thought I'd spice things up this Friday with my top 5, can't live without, beauty products. These are the products I use on a daily basis. If I leave the house for something other than coffee or Target I will apply "real" make-up. Until then...these 5 do the trick!
Now I admit that there aren't just simply 5 items...but you'll understand why as you read. I swear it has nothing to do with my horrific inability to make a decision - nope!

This stuff is the bomb...like, tick, tick, BOOM! I think I actually did one of my very first "Five on Friday" posts about this stuff. I keep this 1.75 oz bottle in my bathroom to apply, well, whenever I'm in there really. And then I keep the smaller lip repair tube in my purse. I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THIS! It's like Vaseline but because it contains some additional ingredients (like mineral oil, glycerin, and lanolin) it is creamier and smoother, and makes your lips feel like butter. It is also effective in treating minor cuts, scarpes, and burns.
Now, I know what you're thinking; "you picked this because you're a consultant with R+F!" And yes I am, but I have WAY too much going on in my life to 1) be wasting my time with a company I don't 100% believe in and 2) be wasting my time & money on product that didn't work!! I use this regimen and eye cream twice daily, and my skin has NEVER looked better in it's life. "REDEFINE is a comprehensive skincare regimen that layers cosmetic ingredients and proven peptide technology to help defend against and reduce the visible signs of aging for noticeably firmer, smoother, flawless-looking skin." I honestly don't know what I would do if I went out of town and forgot to bring it. Clean skin makes me happy.
Okay, so I have greasy hair. That sounded normal when I said it in my head, but I literally just mean-mugged the computer screen after writing/reading it. WEIRD! Anyways, it's true! My hair used to be much more manageable when it was longer; I could hide the nastiness in a ponytail or high bun. But now that I've chopped off all my hair it is WAY more obvious. Enter Psssst! I'm not gonna lie, I started using it because I liked the name. BUT, it is the best stuff out there for the price. How can you beat $7 a bottle!?!?!? You can't! This is the dry shampoo that hospitals use too, so you know it's legit. It's hard to find (Ulta or online ordering) but totally worth it...AND now my lazy ass doesn't have to wash my hair everyday! Yeah me; slackers unite!
I am a brand loyalist when it comes to my perfume. My mother wore the original ANGEL by Thierry Mugler from it's creation until her death. I can smell someone wearing it from a mile away and it makes me think of mom. (God, that was another creepy ass comment but please know it was supposed to be sentimental). So one day when I was in college and she was buying her usual refill I saw that Thierry (yeah we're buds and on a first name basis) had created a lighter more "whimsical" fragrance called Innocent. I was obsessed the second I sprayed it. This become my day time scent and is always an instant mood-booster! Then a year or so later he created ALIEN which is woodier and full of Moroccan jasmine; this became my night-time/going out perfume. When I wear either, I feel complete. Take the quiz here to see what fragrance you would be!
Love this stuff because it's quick & easy to apply, and gives my cheeks that healthy "just pinched" look. Wearing this always makes me feel a little bit better about seeing people when I'm out running errands. You can use it on your lips and/or cheeks...so it should be pretty obvious why I like it!
Alright peeps...I'm out! Have a great weekend, and see you back here on MODA Monday!
Aquaphor is a family favorite for us...my sister and brother and mom...we ALWAYS have it. The best stuff ever! Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog today, doll!!! You made me smile! It says you're a no reply blogger so I can never directly respond to your emails but wanted to make sure you knew I appreciated your sweetness! Xx.
